The postgraduate study programs in oral medicine have been realized since 2003 and were successfully accredited on 4th June 2004 and re-accredited in August 2009 in accordance with the Bologna Criteria system by the Accreditation Agency AQAS which is certified by the Accreditation Council of Germany.
The Joint Degree Master Program
was successfully accredited on the 19th February 2013
in accordance with the Bologna Criteria system by the Accreditation Agency AQAS.
The new Master Courses are conducted as a Joint Degree Program. This means that all participating universities of Dresden, Essen, Saarland, Leipzig, Szeged (Hungary)
have jointly coordinated and matched the theoretical content and the implementation of seminars and internships. A scientific leader was named of every Master Course. The final examination will be conducted by an examination committee according to the regulations of the scientific advisory board of the IMC Joint Program. The academic degree Master of Science will be awarded during an official ceremony by one dean of the Joint Program and the scientific director of the IMC due to the demands of the Science Council of Germany.

- Master of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery (M.Sc.)
- Master of Science in Specialized Orthodontics (M.Sc.)
- Master of Science in Aesthetic Dentistry (M.Sc.)
- Master of Science in Periodontology (M.Sc.)
- Master of Science in Biomaterials and Biomedical Science (M.Sc.) (in 2016)
