Study Structure

The Academic degree

The academic degree “Master of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery” can be obtained by this part-time post-graduate Master's degree course for licensed medical doctors and dentists.

Beginning and duration

  • The course of studies starts either every year on 1 October (by choosing the 2-years course) or on 1 July (by choosing the 15 months course).
  • The standard period of study for this IMC program of post-graduate studies is 15 or 24 months. The study program has a total time commitment of approximately 1500 hours. The total time is divided in web-based basic and advanced trainings, seminars, practical training blocks and a Master's thesis (equivalent to 60 ECTS points).
  • Attendance in Germany is necessary for two times for block internships and one time for final exam.

Scope

The study program has a total time commitment of approximately 1500 hours. According to the Annex, the total time is divided in web-based basic and advanced trainings, seminars, practical training blocks and a Master's thesis (equivalent to 60 ECTS points).

Completion

After passing the final examination by the board of the universities network the degree "Master of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery" will be awarded.
