The Master's course of studies
The "Master Of Science" (MSc) academic degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry can be obtained by this part-time post-graduate Master's degree course for licensed medical doctors and dentists.
Beginning and duration of the course
- The course of studies starts either every year on 1 April (by choosing the 3 semester course) or on 1 October (by choosing the 4 semester course).
- The standard period of study for this IMC program of post-graduate studies is 3 or 4 semester. The study program has a total time commitment of approximately 1500 hours (3 semester) or 2250 hours (4 semester). The total time is divided in web-based basic and advanced trainings, seminars, practical training blocks and a Master's thesis (equivalent to 60 ECTS points by 3 semester or 90 ECTS by 4 semester).
- Attendance in Germany is necessary for two times for block internships and one time for final exam.

Completion of studies and academic degree
The final examination will be conducted by an examination committee according to the regulations of the scientific advisory board of the medical faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen and the IMC®.
The academic degree Master of Science will be awarded in an official ceremony by the dean of the medical faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen and the scientific director of the IMC® according to the regulations of the examination board of the medical faculty of the University of Duisburg-Essen.
